Off-Road Bikes
Unless otherwise stated in writing all off-road bikes are offered with 30 days parts and labour warranty.
Off-road bikes have high maintainance and servicing schedules. It is standard practice throughout the motorcycle industry that due to the nature and use of off-road and competition or racing motorbikes it is not normal for such bikes to be supplied with any warranty. However, we offer a goodwill warranty which is entirely voluntary and subject to strict terms and conditions. It is highly recommended you read them through thoroughly and familiarise yourself with the owner manual and necessary pre-ride checks and maintenance before riding your bike. Please contact us should you have any questions.
On-Road Bikes
Unless otherwise stated in writing all road legal bikes are offered with 12 months parts and 3 months labour warranty which is subject to terms and conditions.
We will attempt to process any warranty claim within the time period set out in and under the terms of Warranty Conditions below.
After the labour warranty period has expired you will be charged for any labour costs incurred at our current labour rate (currently £29.79+ vat per hour, min charge 1 hour), however you will not be charged for parts provided the parts warranty has not expired and the part failure meets the the criteria of what is covered under Warranty Conditions. You are not however obliged to use us for labour and are at liberty to return any faulty parts to us for replacement free of charge provided the parts warranty period has not expired and provided the part failure meets the the criteria of what is covered under Warranty Conditions. Please be aware that any repair work carried out incorrectly or by an unqualified person may cause damage which may void your warranty.
In the event of any claim or repair the bike must be returned to us at your own expense.
A service record sheet will be issued with all road bikes - it is vital that all services are performed as described on the sheet. Failure to do so will void your warranty.
We currently offer a discounted first service price of £55 (normal service price £65). You are however free to have your servicing carried out by any motorcycle garage providing the criteria on the service record sheet is met.
Warranty Conditions:
You must follow the manufacturers recommendations regarding use and maintenance as detailed in the owner manual.
Off-road bikes in particular will require constant maintenance to ensure they are in safe and reliable working order... coolant and oil levels, tyre pressures and condition, ALL bolts, nuts, cables, fixings, wheels, tyres, chain, sprockets, spokes etc MUST be checked before EACH ride to ensure that it is SAFE to Ride!!!!
All bikes must only be ridden when the rider-owner is 100% confident that they have completed their pre-ride inspection.
Failure to do so may void your warranty.
All servicing intervals and checks as detailed in the owner manual must be strictly adhered to during the warranty period or the warranty will be void. Proof of servicing may be required where servicing has not been carried out by ourselves.
Defective parts or the bike must be sent or returned back to us for inspection prior to sending out replacement parts. The purchaser is responsible for all postage or return costs for the returned part or bike.
We will replace free of charge for the original purchaser within the warranty period any part of the bike that is found by the company to be defective, except what is listed in the "warranty does not cover" section below.
The warranty covers only manufacturer defects or items considered to have failed unreasonably through what is deemed to be normal use. Fair wear & tear, accident damage and operation of products in a way contrary to their intended use is considered abuse and not covered by warranty. Consumable items such as chains, spokes, tyres, exhausts, brake pads/disks, cables, batteries, pullstarts etc. are not covered by warranty.
Warranty does not cover:
1. Damage caused by unreasonable use, including failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.
2. Any part used commercially or rented.
3. Defects caused by alterations or modifications, accidents or failure to follow the instructions in the instruction manual. The warranty will be considered void if the item is altered from the original manufacturer specification.
4. General check over, chain or brake adjustments, tune ups on the engine or replacement of non-defective consumable parts such as cables, bulbs, plugs, filters, pull starts, mufflers, carburetors, tyres and tubes that may wear and require replacement in connection with normal maintenance.
The company will attempt to process any warrany claims or repairs within a period of two weeks from return of the bike/ defective part and will guarantee to do so within a period of one month.
The management has the final decision with regards to replacement parts and or repairs.
At our own discretion we will however return the bike or defective part(s) to the original manufacturer at the cost of the purchaser for an engineer report should the purchaser be unhappy with the rejection of any warranty claim. All costs will be refunded should the manufacturer find in favour of the purchaser.
